PTA The work of the P.T.A. is always a very important part of the activities of the students of the E.R.H.S. The past year was no exception. The P.T.A. has worked hard to raise money to help improve things for the students. The famous Rock Rivalry Bulletin is just one of the many tasks that the P.T.A. undertakes each year. Most seniors would consider the scholarships awarded at the end of the season as one of the most important activities. The sponsoring of the Junior Class Trip and the Senior Banquet are two more of the accomplishments in the busy schedule of the P.T.A. P.T.A. BACK ROW: Dorothy Deleonordi (recording sec.), Morty Wilcox (historion), Marie Celiberti (1st VP), Mary Jane Foster (corr. sec.). FRONT ROW: Barbara Stern (pres.), Barbara Goodspeed (2nd VP), Coro Doherty (past pres.). MISSING: Jo Ann Mahnken (treasurer). DAD S CLUB The contributions of the Dad’s Club to both the students of the high school and the community are often taken for granted and even over looked. The annual Sports Awards Dinner has been expanded from a football dinner to an occasion where the students and teachers are honored for their participation and achievement in a wide variety of activities. Another consistent activity of the Dad’s Club is the spectator bus to the away games, which is greatly appreciated by many of us. A more apparent contribution the observation tower used for the home football games. The Dad’s Club is now on an upsurge. At one time it was close to dying, but thanks to the efforts of its members, it has increased significantly in membership and is looking forward to increasing the amount of peo- pie involved.

nnn THANKS!! We could hove covered this page with that one word and you would still have known all the gratitude that we felt. We appreciate everything that you have done to make this book what it is. Perhaps one of the most admirable characteristics that you displayed to us during the time that we worked together was a great sense of judgment. You knew that there were times when you had to give each one of us a push or keep the pressures of deadlines clearly evident in our minds. You forced us to give our maximum effort in handling the various conflicts that arose. As a true advisor you also recognized that there were times when it was more appropriate to stand in the background, forcing us to make decisions on our own. We’re also grateful for your extra time, for example driving us to the city (and barely getting back). Then there were the afternoons spent proofreading the pages we had done. The mutual respect and admiration that we have developed during our relationship in the past year is something that we are glad to have experienced. For this and much more, we say it again. THANKS!! 4 . |

Dr. Louis Superintendent Dr. Louis is a stranger to the halls of the High School because his job entails many responsibilities that take him outside the school. His years of experience in education have contributed to his many accomplishments. Dr. Louis works in cooperation with the Board of Education overseeing the various undertakings they deal with. These include the functions of the grammar school — Rhame Avenue and Centre Avenue, as well as the high school. During our twelve years of education in this school district. Dr. Louis has seen us through each year. Now as we prepare ourselves for graduation we would like to thank him for his guidance and direction throughout the years. BOARD OF EDUCA TION SITTING (I to r): Mrs. Carol Leahy, Mr. Eorl Cole, Mr. Horry Bunting, Mr. Peter Hughe . STANDING (I to r): Mi » Schempp, Dr. William Loui . MISSING: Mr. Roger Humes. The members of the Board of Education serve the community in an effort to upgrade the educational facilities in our school district. Their primary functions and responsibilities include overseeing the activities of the administration as well as dealing with the annual school budget. The members of the Board, many of whom have years of experience behind them, have done their jobs with dedication as well as excellence. Their true concern for the school district is clearly evident in the work they do. 6
