Thank You Mr. Fisher The beginning of our freshman year was filled with apprehension and mixed emotions. We were boys and girls faced suddenly w ith the prospect of becoming men and women. We needed a firm, guiding hand, and found it in the person of Mr Fisher Despite his brief tenure, Mr. Fisher showed us how to fight and work for what we wanted and what we thought was right. These concepts, which will receive their severest test as we leave Oz and move on to En rald City, are our backbones for lifejR! On behalf of all of Us, we wish to express our gratitr dl and appreciation for all his efforts and consideration. Dr. William K. Louis Administrative Insights What exactly is your new job this year? ‘ It's a little bit of everything. I’m known as the Assistant Principal, instead of Pupil Personnel Director. I consider myself the “First Sergeant in the Army.” In the administration of any complex organization, such as that of East Rockaway High School, the passing of the buck must stop somewhere, and in the words of Dr. William k. Louis, “It stops with me. It would be presumptuous of us to attempt to list ali of the qualifications and accomplishments of our superintendent. Instead, we prefer to view Dr. Louis from the standpoint of our social and professional contacts with him. From personal experiences, we can state unequivocably, that he is a warm, friendly human being, whose door is always open to those who need him. His wise and patient advice has also enabled us to avoid some of the pitfalls and mistakes of high school students. We hope that our successors w ill have an opportunity to meet and work with Dr. Louis, the man, as well as the administrator. We are sure it will be a rewarding and enlightening experience.
