E. R. H. S. EXHIBITS EXCELLENT BAND l959-60 was no exception at E.R.H.S .... as usual, the band, through hard, persistent Work, formed a memorable musical aggregation. The football season was enlivened by outstanding half- time performances. After football season was over, the band turned to concert Work, appearing at every home basketball game aid presenting three public concerts. Membership in the band means hard Work and a lot of tung for the directors, Mr. and Mrs. Sliva, show us how to have fun in seeking perfection. E.R.H.S. BAND OFFICERS, left to right: Avery McKinney, Jim Wattle- worth, Susie Blackburn, Frank Ayers. Sally Wilson, Maidi Fye, Jill Helm. and John Pottortf.

MAJORETTES GIRLS' CHORUS One of the E.R.H.S.'s largest clubs, the girls' chorus, trains its members' voices for entry into the Mixed Chorus. Al- though not all ot the girls are selected for Mixed Chorus use, the training is just part ot the singing cycle which will en- able them to sing in school or out. BOYS' CHORUS While it is not as large as the Girls' Chorus, the Boys' Chorus makes up in volume what it lacks in numbers. Boys' Chorus also prepares voices for the Mixed Chorus. It does, fundamentally, what the Girls' Chorus does in its rehearsals. They Work, prac- tice, work some more, then finally perform. Attractive meiorettes who added sparkle to our marching band are trom top to bottom: Shirley Rudolphi, Sally Diver, and Judy Lovelace. 72
