Library Club Catalogs Large Inventory Library Club members took on the challenge of keeping track of a tremendous quantity of library materials. To keep the library operating efficiently many club members worked one hour a day catalog- ing new materials, working at the circulation desk, maintaining orderly shelving of over eighty-five hundred volumes, and designing bulletin boards to attract reader interest. In December several mem- bers used their artistic talents to make stuffed animals for the children of “‘Project Christmas Spirit”’. Roadrunners Log Thousands Of Miles Eastern’s fleet of thirteen buses traveled more than six hundred miles a day with a passenger load of twelve hundred students. In addition, drivers gave their services to transport students to and from shop classes in the annex. At the end of the year miles traveled totaled more than one hundred eight thousand. From Bingo To Bulbs “To what phylum does the butterfly belong?” A voice yelled ““Bingo” and received nods of approval from his fellow scientists. Scientific bingo was only one area of interest, however, as club members focused attention on proposed plans to visit the Re- search Triangle and to plant flowers in the Science Court.
