Council Raises Questions The Student Council is composed of homeroom representatives, class Black Representatives, class presi- dents, and the council’s officers. This year’s council sponsored along with Homecoming, College Careers Day, and Project Christmas Spirit, an environment clean-up project, a Valentine dance, a voter registra- tion drive, and a school spirit com- petition. The council’s constitution states its purpose as: “. . . in order to establish a workable student govern- ment, to grant the students of this school a greater voice in many affairs directly affecting their school lives, and to broaden the democratic idea of representative government... « Success and Failure Student Life 43
