Students Learn A Second Language French I students, Sherry Brower and Joey Parris recite their dialogue for Mrs. York. At first sight, the world of French is a world of tapes, writing, and dialogues. However, the French student at Eastern learns much more. Each month the classes read Ca Va, a French magazine about life and activities in France. Spanish is in its second year at Eastern. One-hun- dred and fourteen students chose it over other elec- tives. Spanish students have found the language to be a lot of fun, as well as hard work. Singing Spanish songs and games lighten the usual heavy schedule in the classroom and lab. 1 Martha Sutton York - A.B.
