Among the many splendid individuals who comprise the faculty of East Pro- vidence High Schol, one teacher holds a prominent place in the minds and hearts ofthe members of this year's graduating class. During the past three years, this kind, understanding, and friendly woman has contributed much to make our high school careers pleasant and profitable. Her willingness to give counsel and guidance, her desire to aid the individual in the solution of her problems, her conscientious and effective teaching . . . all these attributes have caused us to feel a deep and lasting gratitude to Miss Anna G. Lyons, to whom we wish in this small way to express our deep appreciation. Many men in the field of literature have sung the praises of women throughout the ages. No more fitting words to describe Miss Lyons have been written than those penned by William Wordsworth: A perfect woman, nobly plann'd To warn, to comfort, and command And yet a spirit still, and bright With something of angelic light.
