NKXXKY 1 ,, ww,-... lt seems like Paris in 216 as the Prem for a meeting. The French Club, an organization for boys and girls who have completed at least one year of French, is advised by Miss Katherine Perkins. Its purpose is to acquaint the students with the language and customs of France. At the first meeting ot the year the tollovving capable officers were elected: President, Barbara Fraser, Vice President, Kaaren Schultz, Program Chairman, Joan Crocker, and Social Committee Chairman, Judith Yates. During the year at the meetings, which were held the first Tuesday of every month in room 216, the members participated in French games, sang French songs, were served French refresh- ments, and had parties on special occasions. The most outstanding party of the year was held on February l4, which was the day of the Mardi Gras. Many of the members also belong to the Junior Alliance Francaise, which is an organiza- tion of French students from public and private schools in and around Providence. The members of this group all agree that the French Club has provided for them many inter- esting and educational experiences as tar as the French language, people, and customs are con- cernecl. :sniff-if 1 ch Club gets together
