Kirby, who, through his patience and diligence, his method of teaching, his sense of humor, and his friendly guidance has been a maior factor in the success of this yearbook. His ability to attack problems seriously and with cheerfulness this year, as well as in past years, has made our entire venture enjoyable and profitable. MR. JAMES E. BATES Principal if .Fi L in SJ ', -' A MESSAGE FROM OUR PRINCIPAL TO THE GRADUATING CLASS . . . We of the faculty are proud of the class of l954. Never before in the long proud history of our school have so many special scholastic awards, so many state championships, and so many in- dividual honors come to us in the course of a single year. To a large extent, our greatest year can be attributed to the many fine contributions that you as members of the senior class have made. Personally, l am pleased that you have had two full years in this beautiful and efficient new building. I hope that the sum total of your ex- periences here has been pleasant and profitable. We of the school staff will continue to retain a real interest in your future.
