Superintendent Dr. Beamer, a graduate of the Pennsylvania State University, is now serving his third term as Superintendent of the East Pittsburgh Schools. He entered the district in l925 as a teacher of Chemistry and Physics, and in 1929 was made Principal of the Junior-Senior High School. He has always been interested in the field of Science and for a number of years, taught Biology in addition to his duties as Principal of the High School. Dr. Beamer received the degree of Master of Arts and Doctor of Educa' tion from the University of Pittsburgh. 6

The signs are evident in constant improvements around the school. The library, band uniforms, driver education course, television facilities, and other educational aids have been obtained for us through their efforts. Many projects are novv in the planning stage that will be of great advantage to the student body. As seniors, we are aware of and are grateful for these benefits. The Board of Education numbers seven members and meets the second Friday of each month. The officers elected for this school year were. Patrick A. Clougherty, President, William L.
