Through this book the students will show the parents and patrons of the East Pittsburgh School District what they are doing in school. The school of today consists not only of the basic educational functions, reading, writing and arithmetic, but many other activities that broaden the students outlook on life. Aside from the three R's, the students and teachers at East Pittsburgh engage in other Educational activities and- projectsg here is a First Aid class learning what to do in an emergency. In another room the students are expressing themselves through Art and learning a pleasurable pastime. Home Nursing and Home Economics are taught, enabling the girls to aid in the home and the boys learn to work with wood and metal in the shops, a basic beginning for their life's work. And there are many others we could mention, but throughout this book you will see how your children are being taught and guided towards adulthood in a well rounded, helpful program of educational guidance.
