Setuon, C 4A 'rtyidt uf. In September, 1954, sixteen Freshmen entered Pearl High School. The officers elected were: Charles Fisher, President; Ronnie Waggoner, Secretary; Gene Donithan, Treasurer; and Donna Lane and Jay Atherton, Reporters. Mrs. Meisenbach was sponsor. At the same time fifteen Freshmen entered Milton High School. The officers were: Eleanor Daniel, President; Beth Denison, Vice President; Phil Hoover, Secretary- Treasurer; Greta Ruble, Reporter; and Shirley Davis and Eleanor Daniel, Student Coun- cil Representatives. Mr. Behrends was sponsor. Twenty-four sophomores entered the new East Pike High School in September, 1955. Early in the same month freshman initiation was held at the initiation party. Officers were: President, Eleanor Daniel; Vice President, Phil Hoover; Secretary- Treasurer, Jean Conkright; Reporter, Beth Denison; and Student Council Representa- tives, Eleanor Daniel and Margie Wyatt. Mrs. Barngrover was sponsor. Margie Wyatt and Phil Hoover were candidates for king and queen at the Harvest Festival. Phil Hoover represented our class on the varsity squad in basketball, and Beth Denison and Margie Wyatt were cheerleaders. In September, 1956, seventeen Jolly Juniors climbed the stairs of East Pike High School. We elected the following class officers: President, Jean Conkright; Vice Presi- dent, Beth Denison; Secretary, Eleanor Daniel; Treasurer. Wanda Biggs; Reporter, Loretta Ottwell, and Student Council Representatives, Jean Conkright, Eleanor Daniel, and Be tit Denison. Mrs. Barngrover was sponsor. Wanda Biggs and Charles Fisher were candidates for king and queen at the Harvest Festival. Phil Hoover represented our class on the first team in basketball, and Beth Denison was a cheerleader. The high light of the year was the Junior Play, Oh, Promise Me. In August, 1957, thirteen seniors entered East Pike High School. Our class officers are: President, Phil Hoover; Vice President, Deloris Kern; Secretary-Treasurer, Jean Conkright; Reporter, Bonnie Labby, and Student Council Representatives, Eleanor Daniel, Jean Conkright, and Beth Denison. Mr. Herst is our sponsor. Bonnie Labby and Eleanor Daniel were candidates for queen at the Harvest Festival, and Charles Fisher and Ronnie Waggoner were candidates for king. Charles and Bonnie were crowned king and queen. Jean Conkright, Bonnie Labby, Deloris Kern, Donna Lane, and Eleanor Daniel were candidates for Homecoming Queen. Donna Lane was crowned queen. Phil Hoover and Charles Fisher represented our class on the first team in basketball. Phil was elected captain of the team. Beth Denison was a cheerleader. A senior play was held in April. Beth Denison was a candidate for queen at the Sweetheart Ball. 12
