every moment of the junior-Senior Prom, thereby help- ing to make it a decidedly successful function. The clubs welcomed new members from the third-year Class. Many of us held important positions on the News Board. Our initiative was displayed by Juniors in the two debat- ing clubs. The promising athletes of the preceding year had developed rapidly, and many of them aided in win- ning fresh laurels for E. O. H. S. We prepared our- selves for our Senior year by living up to a high standard of ideals, and by contributing as much as possible to the glory of the school. When we entered again in the fall of 1922, we were full-fledged Seniors, carrying ourselves with the custo- mary dignity, but ready at any time to participate in the various social activities of the year. The Committee Dances were sources of enjoyment to all who attended, and a great deal of praise is owed to the Social Commit- tee for the fine way in which these dances were conducted. In February, the Prom took place. As usual it was a success, both socially and financially. The Senior Dra- matics wiere sufficient to provg that our ability on the stage was developed to a marked degree. Our musical talent was displayed in various ways. The Operetta was, in itself, an acknowledgment of our musical ability. At Christmas time, the combined glee clubs did much toward giving a very worth while programme. Several times during the year the school has been entertained by excel- lent musical performances, in connection with which we must mention our splendid orchestra. In March a con- cert was given by all of the musical organizations, and it delighted all who heard it. Through the faithful ef- forts of the Class Night Committee, and the co-operation of the Seniors, Class Night was the usual frolic of amuse- ment and entertainment. Our debating teams argued their way to victory again and again. Their subjects were interesting and fraught with enthusiasm. Our lit- erary superiority reached its height in this yearls produc- tion of the News, This is the history of the Class of 1923. We have en- deavored to live up to a high standard of ideals which a former Senior Class bequested to us. The path to Knowledge is not a very easy one to tread, but we have done our best to overcome our difficulties, for we realize how much a good education means to a boy or girl, when the World must be faced. The Class of '23 leaves E. O. H. S. with every feeling of loyalty and love toward the Alma Mater. We say, Good-bye, but the memory of the happy days spent under the Red and Blue will linger forever with us.
