SENIOR CLASS GORDON BUTTON .. .. ......... President EMILY KOEHLER .. HE world with all its subtle mysteries lies before us. Are we, the members of the Class of 1923, prepared to face Life, and yet come out of the battle with the respect and admiration of our fellow men? It would seem so, for, during that period of our lives spent within the portals of our beloved li. O. H. S., we have endeavored to mas- ter our difficulties and make the most of our opportuni- ties as each presented itself. ln the autumn of 1919, an eager, curious crowd of youngsters invaded the halls and classrooms of the High School. Our first discoveries proved that there were excellent basketball players among both girls and boys. The football season also brought forth some agreeable surprises in the mat- ter of promising material for the varsity. Our talent as actors and musicians was fgst displayed when we took active parts in the Pageant and the Operetta. The News Board already claimed several of our classmates, and further literary prowess was developed in the class- rooms. The various clubs counted many of us as mem- bers. Class spirit as well as school spirit was beginning to show itself. Having been advanced to the rank of Juniors, we pro- ceeded to make life Worth while. The Juniors enjoyed
