Administvddion Dear Seniors: For the first time in the history of the school I am break- ing tradition by addressing my remarks to a particular group of students. Because you are the first four-year class to graduate from East Montgomery High School, I feel justified in doing so. You have a tremendous amount of ability which if channeled properly, you will make on society an impact to be felt for generations to come. In order to direct this ability into the right channels you must accept the responsibility that past generations have left as part of your heritage. To be grown is to be more than a certain number of years old. Being grown means being emotionally mature, mentally matiare, and physically mature. In maturity you will challenge the world by your efforts in whatever occupation you have chosen to make your life ' s work. Life measured by years is but a short time. The contri- bution that you will make in your allotted time will decide whether life shall be termed as an eternity or termed only the short span of years as we know it. That contribution must be in the form of service to mankind, dedication to society, and fulfillment to life. I shall be looking for the potential in each of you to make greater the contribution to your fellowman than that of any generation in the past. Keep smiling. . . it makes people wonder what you ' re up to. It ' s a long climb over fool ' s hill, but they ' ll make it (I hope),
