II uill and Scroll Quill and Scroll, the International Honorary Society for I-Iigh School Journalists, recognizes, encourages, and rewards outstanding service to school publications. Admission requirements of superior work in some phase of journalistic or creative endeavor and high scholastic standing make it repre- sent the highest type of literary achievement. East holds a charter in Quill and Scroll and will complete organization of the local chapter in the spring of l963. Dramatic Club If you take another step I'll scream i Play-Acting has been a part of the basic human natures of children and adults. Drama has its heritage in the most primitive of peoples. The dramatic medium has expressed for all to see the ab- stract ideals of man, the joy and sorrows of man, the religious instincts of man. It is important that this medium of self-expression is developed and appreciated in our youth of today and tomorrow. East Montgomery's Thespians desire to learn of the past and present drama, desire to use this know ledge to choose, produce, and direct their own plays, and desire, most of all, to enjoy with other people a like interest in an art which will benefit thern always. Sara Lee directs Dale, Robert, Gary, and Tony at play practice.
