This is the purpose of education: to make the best of all circum- stances that one encounters. Each of us here at E.M.J.C. need to better prepare ourselves to meet the challenges that await us in our future life. Let us each strive to achieve perfection in our every undertaking so that we will be better prepared to meet the challenge of our later life. Paul Stuart PRESIDENT S.G.A. 1969-70 S. G. ' 127 Fellow students : Throughout the preceding pages we have tried to reflect the thoughts of our time. Our thoughts have been happy, sad, expectant, disappointing, and, most important of all, searching. Yes, we are all searching for that time when our thoughts are in unison with our hope and dreams. We only hope we shall rec- ognize that time. While working on the 1969-70 LION, we have had many hectic times. Some were funny, some disappointing, but the time of achievement was the most re- warding of all. We hope we have succeeded in making the transition from a past decade to a future one by simply expressing the present, OUR PRESENT. If, through the impartial eye of the camera, we have captured a moment worthwhile to you, then our efforts have not been in vain. We hope we have achieved our goal of making you, the students of East Mississippi Junior College. a part of the thoughts of our times.
