English advanced the minds of sopho- mores by improving comprehension, speed, vocabulary and SAT preparation. Sophomores also concentrated on short stories, research skills and English skills. Ms. Phillips, a sophomore teacher, hoped her students learned stronger val- ues and good judgement through her lessons in literature. Meanwhile, juniors put their attention toward research skills and American Lit- erature.
