The intricate role of foreign affairs in recent years places a greater demand on the student to know more about the histories and cultures of nations other than his own. Through the efforts of the Language De- partment, the student;is taught the speech of a foreign country and the customs of its people. In this way, he will be able to further the ties among nations and bring them closer together in future years.
