Anderson and captained by loe Hoehing, compiled o record ot eight wins and twenty losses. Next year's team will be greatly weakened by the loss ot practically the whole first string through graduation, but the second-string players have come through in some tight spots, so the tuture isn't too black. Playing an important role in the success ot the Varsity were three seniors, Robert Mayor, Elmer Feuerstein, and loe Hoehing. Able assistance came from the two other starters, Norbert Blum, a sophomore, and William Wilhelm of the junior class. Qther members ot the squad were William Clenwell, William Cadden, Francis Watto, Blair Redline, Sherwood Lory, Iohn Bunso, and Gerald Iackson. Junior Varsity This year's lunior Varsity Basketball team, better known as tho Mighty Mites, under the guidance ot Coach lohn P. Shovlin and captained by Marvin Seartoss, compiled a record of twelve wins and eight losses for a .GOO per- centage. lncluded among the I. V. achievements on the hardwood was a perfect first-halt season, which saw the Mites notch tive wins against no setbacks. After a slow early season start, the locals warmed up an eight-game winning streak. lncluded among the victims ot the I-V's, were their bitter rivals from across the river, the Mauch Chunk boys, bowing twice by decisive scores. Playing an important role in the success ot the lunior Varsity were three ninth-grade boys, Marvin Seartoss, Francis Watto, and James Hartman, the latter two leading the team in scoring.
