-; ' S ' V ; - % ‘% ife Way over yonder, there’s a place that I know Where I can find shelter from hunger and cold. And the sweet-tasting good life is easily found Way over yonder, that’s where I’m bound. I know when I get there, the first thing I’ll see Is the sun shining golden- Shining right down on me. There’s a place I have seen In a long ago dream. Maybe tomorrow I’ll find my way Where the rivers of honey flow each day. Then trouble’s gonna lose me - worry leave me behind And I’ll stand up proudly in true peace of mind.

It is with humility, respect, and sincere admiration, that the class of ' 79 dedicates its yearbook to Mr. Ralph Shindler. During the fifteen years that he has been at East Long- meadow High School, our principal has been the quiet example of a good and just administrator. With delibera- tion and utmost good humor he has built a student-teach- er-administrator relationship based on mutual respect and tolerance. Insisting on basic values, he has extended innovative responsibility to those under his jurisdiction. Whether in his office, the corridors, or cheering at some sports event, he has always been approachable, under- standing and fair. There could be no better definition of the term than Principal-n. Mr. Ralph Shindler M 19
