OZZUQPIQOOK fhe JC OO lU lf HOW we OIIOI' We sung our song to thee our vouces rause East Luverpool we pledge our deep devotuon to you both now and un comung days Our Alma Mater sung at the assemblues played by the band at football games and chorused at graduatuon us a symbol of the memorues whuch we have and hold un our hearts of our days as students of East Luverpool Hugh School We remember furst the football games wuth the band marchung bruskly through theur paces at half tume as those Hu Tru gurls at the refreshment stands trued hard to satusfy the customers Then Hu Teen the dancung to the puke box and tryung unsuccessfully to thaw those frozen feet The out of town games were an enthrallung and unuque experuence wuth the strangeness of a dufferent staduum and yet the compatabuluty of the other loyal Potters who followed the team Of course there were the pep rallues wuth everyone yellung and really backung up the team The dances were a specual treat as the M A was changed unto a wonder land where you and your classmates waltzed dreamuly or uutterbugged to your heart s content Naturally dances brung memorues of that one and only person for you that boy or gurl for whose face you looked as you walked through the hall between classes or called on the phone to ask about a homework assugnment Actuvutues provuded a wade fueld for us to explore We could belong to the chour or band Hu Tru or Hu Y Varsuty Club or Latun Club there was some thung for everyone and uf you were very ambutuous and really wanted to serve the school you could be a publuc address furst aud or lubrary worker Then un December basketball took the spotlught and the M A seemed about to burst at the seams when the fans began to chant and follow the cheerleaders to urge the players on Naturally we shouldn t forget the most umportant part of our luves when we were students at ELHS that tume whuch we spent un the classrooms and under the supervusuon of the faculty There were those of us that dudn t care and those that dud but when gathered unto a classroom we always managed to guve the teacher a rough tume and yet we knew that he or she really de served more credut For regardless of those horruble semester exams whuch always seemed to be umpossuble the loads of homework and the duscuplune we all realuzed that the faculty was on our sude Yes when we are graduated from East Luverpool Hugh School we wull take wuth us those memorues whuch un future years may prove to be our dearest So on that funal day as Senuors when we leave wuth our duplomas for the last tume we may perhaps remember East Luverpool we pledge our deep devotuon to you both now and un comung days' 46 I I V 1 n u - u ' ' ' ll ll ll . . . , u u - ' u , 1 .
