Boys' tennis team has a winning season The boys' tennis team finished its 1985 season with a 7-5 conference record, good enough for third place in its final year in the Western Piedmont Conference. The starting six included Lindsey Dellingen Kendall Ross, Tom Furn Graham Perkins, Mike Motto, and Robert Brenes. N-sw East Sprints To Fourth ln Conference The 1985 Boys' Track Team finished the year at fourth place in the conference tournament. It was the best that an East Senior High Boys' Track team had fin- ished in years. There were many highlights over the season, but two will be most remembered. Darrel Dewitt made All-Confer- ence, and Rob Davis, a 230- pound shot putt throwen ran the 440 Relay at Statesville. That was a sight to remember!
