The cheerleading camp was held at Appalachian State University from Iune 30 through july 2. Wendy was nominated for her ability to jump, her technique, her leadership, and her natural en- thusiasm. Wendy believes she could have never accomplished this level of excellence without the support of the cheerleading squad. Images of Excellence . STLIDE T LIFE 1985 marked the? beginning of a new year It was a yeariof laughten tears, disap- voini rent, and pain. It opened the door for 'fe moigraduating class offering knowl- gf, maturity and strength. It was a year of Friday night football games and Saturday band competitions. In some of these challenges, we conaueredg in others, we suffered defeat. Either way there was the cry of Let's Go, East! Even though the school year came toan end, the growing, learning, and the hard work never ceased. There were more band competitions, summer cheerleading camp, trips to Raleigh, seminars at colleges, and pageants to be won.
