The team, advised by Mrs. Vickie Hatley, participates in High-Q competitions at CPCC in Charlotte. The team placed eleventh out of 64 area high schools and returned to compete in televised matches sponsored by WTVI. They also participate in Quiz Bowl, an event sponsored by the Gaston County Public Library. L'Elite Francaise consisted of T15 members this year Our many activities included a Mardi Gras party, Goutes, a candy sale, and a French Valentines sale. Sopho- more Rush week lasted three days: Dunce cap and Pledge But- ton Day on Wednesday, Statue of Liberty and Quazimoto Day on Thursday, and each pledge had to give an upperclassman a letter of admiration in French on Friday. The bushes in the stadium were dedicated to the student body as part of the school beautification program.
