FBLAs purpose is to bring busi- ness and education together in a positive fi f' working relationship. Our goals include: understanding American business enter- prise, establishing career goals, developing character and self-confidence, and facilitat- ing the transition from school to work. Cooperative Office Occupations com- bines practical work experience in business offices with job-related classroom instruc- tion. The students who wish to partici- pate are provided transportation to Lincolnton High School where they are instructed by Sandy Taylor Seniors spend three hours each morning taking instruction and honing their skills. juniors work two hours each afternoon. The members are taught a variety of youth concerns, includ- ing nutrition, fitness, teen pregnan- cies, strengthening the family, working with children and the el- derly, and career exploration. East has thirty-eight FHA mem- bers under the supervision of Mrs. Carolyn Thackston. These members are developing new friendships and having fun while teaching people about nutrition and other family concerns.
