Ashley Sigmon and Patrick Bailey show that it takes two to tango. Spirit Week's the best! The theme of this year 's Spirit Week was THE BEST OF TIMES, which was the week of September 23 through September 27. Sponsored by the Student Council, Spirit Week was a big success. Monday was designated as the 20's or Little Rascal's Day Students dressed up like their favorite little rascal. They were all there, from Darla, to Buckwheat, to Pete, the dog. Tuesday was proclaimed the 50's or Happy Days, where students dragged out Mom 's old Poodle Skirts or Dad's old Letter Sweater and wore them to school. Wednesday was designated as the 60's or Surfer 's Students really beached out! They wore long, loud jams, T-Shirts, sunglasses, and some even wore zinc oxide on their noses. Thursday was declared 1999 Day Students used their imagina- tions and came up with all kinds of weird outfits. Prom silver shirts to trash bag skirts all of the weirdos were there. And then on Friday . . . 21

Field Day fun. . . . Student Council sponsored a field day during the first, second, and third periods. Field day this year consisted of eight events in which seniors, juniors, and sophomores competed. The events included the water-balloon toss, ob- stacle course, three-legged race, 440 relay pass the orange, pass the life-saoen the people mixen and tug-o-war This year field day was set up on a point system. The seniors dominated with 78 points. The juniors were second with 72 points and at a close third were the sophomores with 68 points. The cheerleaders sponsored a pep rally where, to the delight of the student body the football team performed a pom pon routine dressed in cheerleading uniforms.
