Curing the past two years, Leyden has attracted a great deal of attention in regard to its Summer Workshop for teachers. This year Leyden's teachers spent three weeks learning the latest methods in modern education, taking as a basis the fact that the good will of the student is just as important as the subject matter. Dr. Hartung of the University of Chicago has been head of this experiment, and thus far it has been a complete success. It may be of comfort to some Leyden students to know that during one of last summer's worst heat waves, Leyden's teachers were going to school and literally sweating it out. We can truly take great pride in the fact that Leyden is one of the few schools in this area where the teacher goes to school to learn more about the student. SUMMED WORKSHOP
