LIFE AT LEYDEN one of the 5 typing classes. Miss Mahler found great convenience with the new Ediphone. The geometry class sought the solution with Miss Flood as a guide, and from the corridor is a glimpse of Mr. Meyer's bookkeeping class. The library with several thousand books provides a quiet, popular retreat for students. The cooks of the future put forth their efforts with Miss Lowe's help. The cheer leaders lent a newfound spirit to the student body. There are also the sewing class, the 5 members of the National Band and Orchestra Clinic, and Miss Riehl attending a purchaser in the book store.

The scenes above are typical of the 98 classes conducted daily by the 22 members of the faculty. Above is one American LEYDEN History class which did extensive outside reference work.
