CLUBS Many were the achievements of the Student Council under the direction of Mr. Moser. These students, as Class Officers, led their respective classes on to success. Weekly issues of the school paper were a result of the Leydenite Staff's work and Miss Robertson, presiding faculty member. This Annual's production was due partly to the ability of the Annual Staff. A successful year was had by the Debate Club. Miss Murphy arranged for two radio broadcasts and inter-scholastic contests also. The Quill and Scroll is an International Society for High School Journalists. Students of special journalistic achievements are members of this organization. •» 21

dramatics The two dramatic highlights of the year were seen in the class plays. Skidding, a three-act comedy (top row) was presented by the juniors, and Tiger House, a three-act mystery comedy, by the seniors. Eoth plays were under the direction of Miss Emma LaPorie. Under the supervision of Miss LaPorte and Miss Maloney, the Dramatic Club has accomplished much in its field the past year. Included in its program were several one-act plays, produced by student directors, monologues in dialect, demonstrations, and interesting talks given by its members and supervisors. The club was ably headed by H. Barry, president; C. kirchhoff, vice-president; and A. Cullerton, secretary-treasurer. 20
