Every season has its own mood and its own particular delights . The library overflows with wandering pu- pils in search for that vague something ar- riving in June. But for some, their daydreaming brings reality after long, hard Work toward their goals. At far left, Nancy Kight is shown as she won the coveted honor of becoming the State Treasurer of the Georgia Association of the Future Homemakers of America. Those selected for this honor were: Maid of Honor, Shirley Logueg and Doris Pope, Annette Bush, Rita Maddox, and Iris Keene. Escorts for the evening were Kenny Thomas, Eddie Watson, Johnny Foskey, Ronnie Kea, and Richard Holmes. 20 Homecoming Victory, Pomp, and Ceremony Help to Crown Queen Gayle With traditional formality reserv- ed for queens, Miss Gayle Evans was crowned Homecoming Queen at East Laurens High School for 1966. At the half-time of the football game be- tween the Rams and the Emanuel County Institute Bulldogs on October 22, Miss Linda Brown ended her reign when she placed the jeweled tiara and crowned Gayle. Miss Evans chose jerry Wood as her escort for the occasion. Scoring 21 points, the Rams sent the crippled Bulldogs home boneless --without a single score! Coach Frazier and his Rams stir- red the homecoming friends with the overwhelming victory and gave Queen Gayle a stronger court in which to reign for 1966. The Satellites from Irwinton, Georgia, provided music for the re- ception and dance which followed the game. The full evening of pageantry, sports, and homecoming festivities, was sponsored and initiated by the Pep Club Members under the direc- tion of Mrs. Elacia Frazier. 22 Junior High Football Team Coach: Cecil Jennings Numbers Black White Name 10 32 Kenneth Spires 12 12 Kenneth Moorman 41 41 Gregg Moorman 30 31 Billy Brantley 22 22 Robert Chafin 53 34 Sonny Bush 20 39 Roger Jackson 60 Charles Lathrop 40 40 Jimmy Sutton 54 42 Albert Brantley 50 50 Billy Foskey 51 51 John Brady 61 61 Charles Chambers 62 62 Mark Owens 52 52 Robert Reynolds 71 71 Eli McKinley 70 70 Victor Jordan I Position QB QB HB HB HB HB I-IB B FB F B C C G G G G T Weight 160 140 147 145 152 140 140 150 210 180 173 150 165 155 175 135 180 Rams Line-up Numbers Black 72 63 74 34 83 82 81 84 80 7 3 35 14 64 White 72 63 74 83 82 81 44 80 73 Name Kendall Brantley Billy Baggett Terry McKinley Woodrow Hall Bobby Padgett Van Moorman Mike Spivey Glenn Shiver Gary McCord Brady Spires Jerry Calhoun Aaron Devaney Russell Padgett Position T T T T E E E E E E HB T G Weight 180 155 165 l 55 160 140 140 142 170 135 150 100 162 Head Coach: Charles V.
