Falcon's View Keeps School Informed This year's FaIcon's View had many newcomers, but they still managed to distribute interesting newspapers. The newspaper reaches a circulation of over 2,000 and is financed solely by adver- tisements sold by the staff. This year's staff included 12 new people and three veterans. This crew also sponsored Happy Grams, Senior Mock Elections, and a variety of other activities. Kathy Thompson as the Editor, Mitch Gathercole as the Sports Editor, and Pam Hooker, acting as Advertising and Business Manager, were the experienced oldtimers. The new faces belong- ed to Kris DeJonge and Janet Palmer as Feature Editors, Nicole Morse helping out Pam Hooker as Assistant Advertising Manager, Frank Lovejoy and Mike Rose as the Photographers, and Sue Sabin as the Exchange Editor. The rest were Cub Reporters and included JoEllen Dunn, Robyn Mills, Rhon- da Monnier, Emily Oitker and Lynn Fleminger. Ski Club Active Despite Lack of Snow Despite the short winter, the 1982-1983 Ski Club went skiing every night they were supposed to. We had the slopes to ourselves, commented Mike Bacon Ski Club sponsor. A total of 35 students and 4 supervisors went on the Sugar Loaf trip February 4, 5, and 6. Mark Ptak, Presidentg Kevin Hausch, Vice-President, Jim Kaiser, Secretary, and Conrad Tompkins, Treasurer, along with the other 100 or so par- ticipants enjoyed pretty good skiing, stated Ron Dykstra, another Ski Club sponsor. Yearbook Staff Preserves Year's Events for You The 1982-83 yearbook staff con- sisted ofa dozen individuals who per- formed many different jobs throughout the school year. The photographers were Steve Pigott, Tim De Glopper, and Dan Par- tridge, who did most of the photography with some help from others in the group, as well as Falcon's View photographers Frank Lovejoy and Mike Rose. Copywriters consisted of Nanci Westra, Jill Shaver, and Erin Lautenschleger. The layout designers consisted mainly of Mary Jo Fleser, and Lisa Oursler. Advertizing sales were the respon- sibility of George Marsh, who was assisted by Pam Hooker and Erin Lautenschleger. Photo scheduler was Connie Hodgkins. Pam Hooker was business manager. Mr. Dirk Nebbel- ing was adviser.
