All the winners receive a small cash prize, and have their works featured in the writing magazine to be published in the spring. KAI 1982-83 Shakespeare Club. QBJ Fun on a Shakespeare trip. lCl1982-83 Latin Club. 5: ' f V' I . fi , 'A r Shakespeare Club on Move lt was another great year for the Shakespeare Club. lt included two trips to Stratford, Canada, one in October and one in May. The per- formances seen this year were Merry Wives of Windsor and Macbeth, Next year the club wants to go to London, Ontario's Grand Theatre Co. This will give the club more plays to pick from. The trip funds were raised by sell- ing spirit key chains, garters, and Christmas ornaments. Latin Club The Latin Club, though not very big, had a semi-busy year. There were nine members, including Tony Bielecki as the club Presi- dent, Tonja Wepman as the Vice- president, Mary Olszewski as the treasurer, and Andrea Wingier serving as secretary. These nine members sponsored popcorn sales in the foyer during lunch and they also prepared themselves a Roman Brunch. The club is still in the process of making a smaller chariot for future parades. The Latin Club sponsor, Mr. Jack Walburg, said the students really jumped into everything with enthusiasm! Activities 35

The Close-Up Club thls year went, as usual, on thelr annual trlp to Washington, D.C. This gave the students an opportunl- ty to have a close-up look at their government. On thelr trlp to Washlngton the students had a chance to meet senators, am- bassadors, and other natlonal news people. Thls group of students also shared thelr ex- perlence with other students from other states. To be able to go on thls trlp the students put ln many hours of hard work and tlme to earn money to pay thelr way. The students plcked up the football fleld, ran a maglc show, and also had donatlons. Thls club was a very reward- Ing experience to all who par- tlclpated.
