Forensics Team Reaches State The Forensics Team was made up of 19 members, coached by Mrs. Nadia Lori. They participated in tournaments at Loy Norrix, Jenison, Thornapple-Kellogg, and Central Michigan University. On April 12, they competed at the District Tournament. Eleven students qualified for the Regional competition on April 23. They were Torsten Toms, Kent Tillitt, Renae Morway, Bob Richardson, Rick Margo, Darryl Kurylo, Jackie Kwesell, Matt Brynildson, Chris Ot- to, Beverly Tate and Jeff Holland. Five seniors qualified for the State tournament on May 7. Bob Richardson and Renae Morway won first place in the Dramatic Duo contest. Kent Tillitt and Torsten Toms won second and fourth places in the Impromptu competi- tion, and Beverly Tate won third in Dramatic Interpretation. They act as East Kent- wood's radio station, raising money for the upkeep of the equipment and for some new albums through advertising.
