Many and xarlous are the duties and respon s1b1lt1es of a supenising principal yet Mr Green has shown himself quite capable of handling his iob successfully Whether the matter in question be that of formulating in cooperation with the board of education the plans and policy for the effluent management of the schools of the dis t11ct the inauguration of a more effective system of tax collection to help meet the school budget the ierouting of buses during snowy weather O1 so simple a task as an explan ition of the new fue alarm system Mr Gleen has pros ed to be equal to the occasion However desp te the constant demands on his time Mr Green is never too busy to discuss a problem with a student or teacher Those who know him best say he has a keen sense of humor and a never ending supply of Jokes that he loves to tell He is an ardent Rotarian and tis rumor ed quite an enthusiastic fisheiman Undoubtedly the llfe of a high school pr1n cipal ls beset with countless problems and diffl culties but Mr Dams always comes up sm ling At the opening of the school term one of his chief problems may be that of adyusting unforseen conflicts between bus and class schedules T wards the close of the term he may be con fronted with the trying business of making out an improved schedule for the next year During the interval between these times however M Davs can be heard at almost any hour of the day chasing some wandering student to study hall To the culprit who IS a Junlor or senior he says Two houls after school but to an under classman he needs only ask Where do you belong? Mr Davis s newly formed guidance class has proved to be quite popular among the seniors Here he lays aside his severity and becomes as one of the students revealing the companlonable side of his personallty Mr Dans has been at East Huntingdon foi tlmteen years during fue of which he has serv ed in his plesent position as high school principal.
