This morning the musical organizations of the school who had performed for the Music Teachers Association repeated part of their program for us Vie appreciated this treat very much. East played O. M .I and won 36 to 5. . A tree was planted this afternoon at 2:30 P. M. by the pupils in the Botany . Assembly-We all always enjoy those assemblies when the members of one of our teams receive their letters. This morning the champion basketball squad received their letters. Under the auspices of the Ohio Audubon Society Mr. Avis gave a very interesting lecture on birds. He showed some very beautiful slides to illustrate his lecture and used his skill in illustrating the calls of the different birds. East defeated Woodward in an exciting game, 11 to 10. Assembly-Five Seniors competing in the oratorical contest spoke this morning. The speeches were all very good and the speakers held.the attention of everyone. The two chosen to represent us in the next contest were Willard Van Saun and Joe Richards. 19. East played Aurora and won, 27 to 2. Some described the game as a track meet.
