MARGIE GOES MODERN The girls of the Bowers Institute of Art are competing for the coveted Cecilian Medal which is awarded each year to the best sketch. Margie, who is a student at the Institute, has dreamed of winning the medal for a secret reason. The Trustees, who award the medal, know Margie's secret and in the past have deliberately kept her from winning. Margie despairs and when asked the rea- son, confides to the girls that she is a niece ot the Miss Bowers, who endowed the Institute with the half of her fortune with the provision that the remaining half is to go to her should she win the Cecilian Medal before her twenty-first birthday. Should she fail, all of the fortune would go to the Institute. The girls are anxious to help Margie and decide upon a plan to outwit the trustees.
