M iss King has taught Knglish and Speech to many senior high students. She also offers much assistance to Commencement speakers at graduation. Much of her time is occupied in directing the Dramatics Club, which is done entirely on her own time. This year she has added the task of being advisor for the Sunrise Staff. For these reasons we sincerely dedicate our annual to Miss King. « t • Hast High School is not just a building composed of mortar and bricks. Among these parades were the Fire Prevention Parade, Christmas Parade, and Mummers Parade. In addition to these annual events, this year the band organized a Band Parents' Club, which has contributed greatly to the success of the bands activities. Another new idea was the buying of jackets for the seniors in the band. They also sent students to compete in District Band competition, at Akley. Pennsylvania on March 20, 21, and 22. Just waiting and waiting Till they’re the big braves in the hall. And all the maidens will think them So clever! So handsome! So tall! Watch those Sophomores advancing Through Biology, Knglish. and Math. They’re cocky ’cause only the Juniors Are tarrying now in their path. Ninth graders are taking steps forward; They 're starting to plan on their own. And it grieves them to hear Seniors comment, Goodness sakes, look how they’ve grown!’’ Kiglith graders are growing in glory; They’re not the youngest this year. And they gain, as they stroll in the morning, A sense of belonging here. As papooses enter the seventh. They’re tiny and timid, it’s true; But it won't be so long till they're Seniors.
