DEDICATION Mr. GILBERT MUNZ Mr. Massing came to East High in 1947 and has carved a firm place in the hearts of both teachers and students. His good humor, earnestness, and sincere interest in all places him high on everyone's list. He lives outside the city with his attractive wife and three real American boys, where he holds as prominent a place in his community as he does at East High. Mr. Munz . . . Gil to everybody ... ex football coach, J.V. basketball coach, varsity baseball coach, (lunch period supervisor,) Physics teacher, photographer, and friend of everyone who knows him. Gil lives close to school with his very pleasant wife, attractive daughter and chip off the old block Gil, Junior. A good teacher has the respect of his students and in return is a source of help, friendship, and guidance, to the student. We have faith that every boy and girl who comes under the influence of these two men will be better citizens for having had this experience. 3
