At 6 p.m., the hallways in front of the music room were filled with an excited audience participating in peasant fair games, such as bobbing for apples. The King Cplayed by senior Kurt Ander- sonj, the Queen tplayed by junior Ste- phanie Ripleyj and the court made the dinner more exciting by getting the dinner guest involved. Turkey, potatoes, fruit and cheese were just some of the delicious items in the five-course meal. A total of 28 chamber singers were in- volved. A royal orchestra, fanfare trumpets, serving girls, thieves and crooks-a total of 60 other participants-helped make the Madrigal Dinner a success, Some people who played important roles were junior Rob Pierick, who played the jester, juniors Dana May and Todd Hickey, the trouba- doursg Loren Deering, the wizard, and Shelley Betts, the witch. On both nights the Madrigal Dinner was held, the hearts of 100 people were filled with excitement and joy. Ms. Linda Chamberlin, vocal music teacher, sponsored the Madrigal Dinner, and by scheduling rehearsal after rehearsal, she made it the success it was.
