Xn All K Seniors Tom Kaut, Matt Fisher, Rick Dennis and jun- ior Jennifer Johnston seem to be enjoying themselves during the annual Spinsters' Spree held Feb. 8 in the cafeteria. Spree was sponsored by the Pep E Club and is an annual event enjoyed by many. This ycar's dancc ticket sales were approximately 300. Tickets were sold for S9 a couple and were generally bought by the girls. SPREE I5

Spinsters, Spree blooms roses, romance and fun Reminiscing about the old-time romance period was the idea behind this year's annual Spinsters' Spree. Parasols, mansions, gazebos and riverboat cafes were a few of the old-time scenes enjoyed by many the evening of the Spree. The Spinsters' Spree was held in the cafeteria on Feb. 8 from 8 to ll p.m. f'Roses and Romance was the theme, with Crazy for You, by Madonna, being the song. Last Shades of Dawn provided the entertainment. This year's Spinsters' Spree colors were festive ones of pink, burgundy and silver. Spinsters' Spree is an annual event in which the girl has the opportunity to ask the gentleman of her dreams to accompany her to the dance. Seniors Dawn Sanders and Rick Schmidt were chosen as Spinsters' Spree King and Queen. Much hard work and dedication were put into the preparations of Spree by the Pep E Club Board and club members. A special thank-you goes to Mr. Larry Winegar and Mr. Russell Junck for the hard work they, too, put into the prepara- tions for the 1986 Spinsters' Spree. Mrs. Shirley Blenderman and Mrs. Elaine Peterson, sponsors of Pep E Club, said, This year's Spinsters' Spree was a very big success. The atmosphere repre- sented one of the most elegant Sprees East High has ever hadf' Senior Tiffany Rice, vice-president of Pep E Club, said, With the many ideas the board had, we were able to add a lot of new things to this year's dance. The dance was another successful one.
