Yearbook — Reflection Of 1968-69 Year Recording the history of the school year, accu- rately and without omitting anything, has been the goal of the 1968-69 Quill Staff. Under the leader- ship of Liz Hammer, Scott Shannon and Pat Leader, the staff has worked hard to accomplish their goal. Due to a growing and more active East High and increased advertising, sixteen pages were added to this year ' s Quill. The yearbook was divided into six sections: aca- demic, senior, athletics, activities, underclassmen. and the index with each section having an editor. Members of the staff were then assigned pages and their jobs were to make up pages, make out picture cards, identify and size pictures, and write copy. Special mention should be given to Quill Staff photographers: Richard Allison, Chuck Taylor, and Edward Green. Helping them out by taking about twenty-five yearbook pictures was the Photography Club sponsored by Mr. Lethcoe, Mr. Sloan, Mr. Storer, and Mr. Peterson. PAT LEADER Managing Editor Co-Editor Scott Shannon discusses a layout with Managing Editor Pat Leader, while Co-Editor Liz Hammer types copy. JUNIOR QUILL STAFF: Rebecca Cox, Debbie Kain, Jean Severson, Penni Simpson, Kathy Lettington, Mary Allred Pvon Bechtel Sue Arnett, Paul Glover, Paula Fuohs : Not pictured: Mr. Springate (business adviser), Mr. Lethcoe (advertising adviser), Mr. Christian (edi- torial adviser). —91 —

The Scroll is truly the voice of East Hig h, communicating to other schools, as well as the en- tire student body, the happenings at East.
