New Ideas In Music Many new and different things have been added this year to East High ' s music department. Personal experi- ences have ranged from Dan Cassady ' s appearing in the Rose Bowl Parade to many participating in the newly-created Swing Choir. Different ideas came along with our new music in- structor, Mr. Carnes. This year he has created several small singing groups for a wider variety and bigger challenge. Our band, under the direction of Mr. Vander Wilt, continued to be the spotlight of half-times, assemblies, and many concerts.
