The Instructional Material Center in the library seats 170 and contains over 12,000 books, magazines, and reserve pamphlets which are now available to all students. Two areas which have been completed this year are the teachers ' curriculum and audio-visual rooms. East High ' s eager students pursue knowledge. Miss Whitford explained that methods of reasoning were stressed — if a student makes a statement he should be able to back it up and prove it. Social Communications, a fused two-hour course in English and Social Science, is taught by Mr. Wright (English) and Mr. Gewerth (Social Studies).
