Besides teaching, they provide advice, guidance, and leadership. They are always willing to share their time to participate in school activities and show a great deal of spirit for our school. Our faculty has largely been, in many ways, responsible for East High ' s achievements. Many of our teachers spend their sum- mer vacations attending classes to increase their own education, thus enabling them to further ours. As a result of our faculty ' s capable lead- ership. (Left) Miss Nelson, the new girls ' adviser, brightens East High ' s halls with her friendly smile and pleasing personality. She taught commercial subjects here at East before her present advisory position. Besides be- ing responsible for the well being of the girls, she also has charge of all social activities. (Right) In his second year as vice-principal, Mr. Cooper finds his biggest satisfaction is ' working with the stu- dents. His main responsibility is advising some 750 boys. In addition, he gives his assistance to Mr. Wil- liams in many capacities. (Middle Row, Left to Right): Our librarian, Mrs. Schmeiser, efficiently manages East High ' s library. Mrs. Crouthamel has charge of the main office, in addition to being Mr. Williams ' secretary. Serving as registrar is Miss Romig. East ' s nurse, Mrs. Baranosky, has served in this capacity for two years. (Bottom Row, Left to Right): As library clerk, Mrs. Lancaster carries out the clerical duties of the library. Miss Berneking ' s chief duty is checking daily attendance. Taking charge of material that has to be typed for the faculty and handling bus transportation passes is the job of Mrs. Paul. Miss Nelson is shown performing one of her numerous tasks. Tim Stith is consulting with Mr. Cooper.
