Miss Arnold Mr, Jarvis Department ln the English department of East High School, an extensive variety ot learning is available. Students learn to speak and write correctly, create a a background of fine literature, and gain poise and self-confidence. Many proiects and activities of this department, such as the school newspaper, the East High Scroll, which has won several national honors, help to give a student responsibility and leadership. The English department has a staff of fifteen teachers.
