November Calendar i 1 5 -Seniors take college board tests all day in cafeteria. -Seniors put on a French production for their last pep assembly tNorthD. 6-7-ISEA Teachers' Convention: No school Thursday afternoon or all day Friday. Football game with North Friday night. East won, 33- 13. All-school party after the game. 1 1-Report cards given out. lmpressed? 14 -Senior-Parent Dinner: a wonderful evening for all with a good dinner and fine entertainment. Senior party at Howard Hecker's house afterward.. 18-Open House: parents find out what you have really been doing. 19-The 12B Formal held at the Val- Air Ballroom: the 12B girls did a fine job. 21-City Basketball Jamboree: East played Tech in the third game and won, 20-15. East held an award assembly and kickoff for the bas- ketball season Friday morning. 27-28-Thanksgiving vacation: days re- maining for seniors are few. September-October Calendar September October 15 19 29 10 20 25 26 31 2-Back to school for ci half dayg 464 new 10-B's enter as 148 12-A's prepare for their last semester. 12-Senior A's sponsor all-school party as a kickoff for the foot- ball season. -Cerebral Palsy football game at Drake stadium. -East opens the football season at Lincoln. East won, 19-O. -Elections held for the senior boa rd. 7-Seniors up early to attend the Senior Breakfast. This was the first senior activity. -T. V. visits East for the Mason City pep assembly. -S. U. l. journalism convention: Twenty journalism students at- tended. -Annual Alumni Assembly held in the boys' gymnasium. -Spinster Spree held in student center. Boys' night out - compliments of the girls. -Roosevelt game: East High spirit was terrific: snake dance around the school.

December Calendar Mr. C. E. Jones presented an assem- bly on practical electricity. A tew students were shocked when he asked them up to the stage for as- sistance. -Basketball game at Fort Dodge against the Dodgers. -Junior-Senior Prom held in the stu- dent center and the girls' gym. The King and Queen were crowned in the girls' gym following a procession of the Prom Court. Everyone had a fine time. The annual Nativity was presented, the readers did an exceptionally fine job. They were Judy Hansen, Shari Stevens, Norma Moller, and Karen Howe. -Basketball game with Mason City at East. -Disneyland Daze, a senior activity, held here. Everyone had a lot of tun and the costumes were unusual. Christmas vacation starts tomorrow. All the homeroom parties were held today. U .r V. ?5 ' i -5.. January Calendar 6-An assembly on electronics present- ed today. Quite interesting. 14-Senior Banquet at Younkers: a lot of fine food for all. l5-Halls seem unusually messy today, thait's because the seniors are clean- ing out their lockers. l6-Last day of school for the seniors- wowl Quills given out. Quill try- outs held for next semester. l8-Sermon given to the graduates, an inspiring talk. 19-Class night was presented with the theme of June in January. 2O+Senior assembly-we are all te-nse as the long-awaited hour draws near. 21-Seniors hold an all-night party. Where? 22-Graduation at last: now the world is ours.
