0 The enior We, the Quill staff, would like to dedicate this page to the January, 1.959 graduating class. We realize there have been mafny memorable occasions and we would like to review a few of them for the 1.48 graduating seniors. Your class has indeed been an active class. There have been parties, activities, fun, and fellowship beyond compare. Work has been turned into fun. For instance, the seniors who put on the French Production pep assembly for North had as much fun rehearsing and putting on the assembly as the school did watching it. Also, remember the Spinster Spree with all the unusual boutonnieres worn by embarrassed young gentlemen. There were as many different ideas for flowers as there were couples. Another gay activity was the Disneyland Daze. Characters straight from Disneyland, but what combinations! Mickey Mouse dancing with Cinderella, and Davy Crockett with Snow White. But this was all in fun and everyone had a wonderful time. However, all the activities were not in jest, there were activities like Senior-Parent Dinner and the Sermon to the Graduates. These have an importance all their own, for we will always remember them when we think of school. ' There have been proms and formats, like the Junior-Senior Prom, when you think your girl is the prettiest, or your escort is the most handsome one there. The corsage and boutonniere that you have preserved so well will serve as a reminder in the years to come. The classroom has also been the spot for a little sport, too, and although the teachers may criticize and accuse students of being childish or ornery,'f actually it is all in fun. Many teachers will remember the seniors, for one reason or another, and most will be fond memories. All in all, your senior class has been an asset to East High School, and your spirit will live on here forever. THE QUILL STAFF -6-
