X il. f CQ 0 f- 0 With the laying of the cornerstone of the new East High in l9l I the goal of every class has been toward higher scholastic standards and a better understanding and fulfillment of their purposes in life. This majestic build- ing stands as evidence of the grandeur and hc-nor which will remain and become parts of the ideals of this graduating class of June, l955, as they have stood foremost in the minds of past classes. The forming of these ideals has not made lite at East High drab and wholly philosophi- cal. Rather, these standards of moral and physical excellence have created an outlet of competitive skill to enlighten the social life of East High. Our long list of honors in sports as well as scholastic contests will clearly exem- plify this social atmosphere in evidence at East High. It is in remembrance of these acquired ideals that we, the graduating class of June, l955, dedicate this Quill to the students, fac- ulty and alumni of East High School. XYZ!
