Mr. Morrow — Math Mr. Morrow, in addition to being a dedicated teacher, has those special qualities found only in a friend. Patience is a very impor- tant asset for a friend, and especially a teacher of math. When those equations start racing through your head at top speed it’s nice to have a teacher like Mr. Morrow to slow things down to a comprehensible level. High school kids need a teacher that can understand their point of view. Mr. Morrow’s teaching is built on this kind of understanding. Mrs. Slattery — Science Jean Slattery is an asset to our educational system. She is not only a good chemistry teacher. She also acts as counselor and friend to many. Due to her con- cern for everyone, she is a person with few prejudices. Mrs. Slattery is involved in many extracurricular ac- tivities because she is so generous with her time. Those students fortunate enough to come in contact with her will always treasure the time spent with her.

Mrs. Follett — Language We know that Mrs. Follett has often wondered how far her capabilities as a teacher have extend- ed to each of her students. But she can be assured j that her personal and inspired methods of teach- ing are what have given her such a fine reputation at East. Her enthusiasm as instructor and as a friend has helped to keep languages alive in this school. Each year her classes grow larger to ac- comodate her growing number of followers. On behalf of all her students we would like to give Mrs. Follett our warmest thanks for her unself- ish contributions to the student body; and to wish her many more years of success and good luck J that she has achieved in her years at East High. Mr. MacCracken — Industrial Arts Mr. MacCracken is a teacher very skilled in his field. His stu- dents know that they are lucky to share in his talents. Aside from his teaching schedule, he has given of his time to print special material for school functions; for instance, Thespian tickets, Mosaic material, Homeroom notices, display signs and school calendars. We thank him for doing more than his share; his unselfishness is the true root of all friendships.
